I am on Jackie's team along with Jeff and we helped three children today. Before I tell you about them I want to say the last client's mother accepted Jesus as her savior before she left! PTL!! She was one of the 27 people who trusted in Jesus today and another 32 recommitted their lives to Christ, and the gospel was presented to 58 individuals. That is what this is all about, shining for Jesus that others would desire to follow Him!
Today was a"down day", as I spent the good part of four hours on the floor holding dear Ruth in a tight curled position. Ruth is nine years old and her condition has made her rigid her entire short life. When we entertained Ruth with Somos los Colores del Evangelio (sung to the Farmer in the Dell) we won't win any music awards, but brought sweet smiles from Ruth. At the end of the day she was sitting in a wheelchair, smiling and heading home with new hope for herself and her mama! This all is accomplished with team work - Jesus, the Master, Jackie and Jill, leading the consult with therapy expertise; Jeff providing the fabrication, Sisley, our wonderful translator, Marina, our patient guide. In the end serving the King, is always an "up day".
God provided a well-fitting wheelchair for this old, inappropriate one |
